AGA Advisor Spotlight: Steven Nunez

This week’s AGA advisor spotlight is on Steve Nunez, principal at Whitman Peterson and valued member and advisor to the American Glamping Association!


Steven Nunez is a Principal at Whitman Peterson who joined the team after spending over five years at Barings Real Estate Advisers. While at Barings, he worked closely with senior management in acquiring new investments, totaling over $2.0 billion, in the Western U.S. He was responsible for acquisition, underwriting, due diligence, and closing of these investments. Before Barings, Steve served as an analyst at Center Square Investment Management, where he was involved in acquisitions and oversaw a $430 million portfolio. He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.S. in Public Policy, Management, and Planning from the University of Southern California, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

One of the things that sets Steve apart from others in the industry is his commitment to educating his clients about the various financial strategies and tools that are available to them. He believes that by empowering his clients with knowledge, they will be better equipped to make sound financial decisions that will help them achieve their goals.

Steven is a highly knowledgeable and experienced within the industry and is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their financial goals through personalized service, education, and innovative technology and the AGA is very grateful for all of the hard work and time he has dedicated to help elevate the glamping industry over the past several years.

Bob Whitman, Wes Whitman, and Joel Peterson established the firm in October 2010. Over the past years, the company has successfully raised 5 investment vehicles, comprising of 4 opportunity funds and a core-plus side-car fund, which is made up of existing opportunity-fund LPs. The leaders of the firm have extensive experience in creating, developing, financing, expanding, and managing prominent investment and operating businesses. Furthermore, the company has been successful in gathering a diverse and exceptional team of individuals from various backgrounds to be part of their close-knit team.
