TruDomes x Room&Board, Connection Stories: Glamping Show
Attending the Glamping Show is an annual event that all who are a part of this industry look forward to! It’s a time and a place to see YOY innovation, and foster professional and personal relationships in the glamping sector. We enjoy seeing our network expand and witnessing the connections made among our members. Two of our members, TruDomes and Room & Board, met at the Glamping Show in 2022 and here is a little more on that story.
Kelda Bassett, President and CEO of TruDomes, was first introduced to Room & Board through a recommendation from David Korse (Glamping Show). Kelda recalls, “David thought we would be a perfect fit because of our aligned values of using good quality, sustainable materials and craftsmanship. As soon as we connected, we found that David was absolutely right - we were a perfect match!”
After meeting at the Glamping Show, TruDomes and Room & Board began working together. Room & Board offers high-quality artisan furniture and home furnishings, and stages TruDome’s glamping dome for the Glamping Show. “The partnership works because Room & Board is able to showcase their incredible outdoor furniture on their outdoor stand, and their indoor furniture in our geo-dome structure. It shows off their wide range of furniture solutions whilst lighting the fire and imagination of glampsite owners who can see how they can furnish their domes (or indeed any glamping structure) with Room & Board’s range”.
Kelda was first inspired by Under Canvas’ set up, who also uses Room & Board furnishing services for their glamping accommodations. “We knew that we were in safe hands with them. Visitors to our stand at the show appreciated the superior quality of our domes and were wowed by the finishing touches that Room & Board had made for us. We love that we can offer a one-stop solution for customers wanting to purchase furnished domes from us through our partnership with them.”
We love hearing stories like that of TruDomes and Room & Board, and enjoy all parts of this relationship and friendship. Kelda recalls,
“After many email exchanges and video calls, it was great to finally meet Elise and the Room & Board team at the Glamping Show in Colorado in 2022. We hit it off immediately with Elise who was a great help and guide to us as we made some last minute preparations and trips to various stores to grab supplies and food ahead of show days. I think our English accents and obsession with root beer had her amused and she bravely jumped into our hire car as we navigated unfamiliar roads (on what is to us the wrong side of the road) together! We all lived to tell the tale, and we made a fast friendship that extended beyond a normal business partnership.”
