Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee is committed to advancing the skills and expertise of industry professionals. Through workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities, we strive to empower individuals within the glamping community to reach new heights in their careers.
Responsibilities:
Work toward recommendations on specific mandates for the Glamping Operators Certificate program, including curriculum development, instructor selection, and program evaluation.
Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the glamping industry related to professional development and education.
Collaborate with industry experts, educators, and stakeholders to create and deliver high-quality educational content and resources for glamping operators.
Recommend strategies and initiatives to enhance ongoing professional development opportunities for glamping operators, including workshops, webinars, and conferences.
Provide guidance and support to individuals pursuing certification through the Glamping Operators Certificate program.
Review and assess feedback from participants in educational programs to continuously improve the quality and relevance of offerings.
Compile and analyze data on educational outcomes and industry trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Liaise with the AGA Board to communicate committee initiatives, progress, and recommendations for advancing the organization's educational goals.
Elect a committee chair to provide leadership, facilitate meetings, and serve as a liaison between the committee and the AGA Board of Directors.
Collaborate with other AGA committees and working groups to ensure alignment and integration of educational initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
