AGA Committees

Welcome to the American Glamping Association Committees – an initiative dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration within the glamping industry. Our aim is to elevate the entire glamping industry and ensure that the AGA remains truly for the people, by the people. At the heart of our mission are three dynamic committees: Professional Development, Manufacturers, and Standards. These committees serve as the pillars of our collaborative efforts, each focusing on a crucial aspect of the glamping landscape.


The Professional Development Committee is committed to advancing the skills and expertise of industry professionals. Through The Glamping Operators Certificate, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities, we strive to empower individuals within the glamping community to reach new heights in their careers through professional development. Committee members will advise the board on the following mandates:

Committee Mandates

  • Curriculum Development: Designing and updating educational materials, workshops, seminars, and courses that cater to the needs of professionals in the glamping industry, ensuring they remain current and relevant.

  • Resource Development: Creating and maintaining a library of resources, including articles, guides, templates, and best practices, to support ongoing professional development efforts within the glamping community.

  • Speaker Selection: Identifying and inviting industry experts, thought leaders, and experienced professionals to share their knowledge and insights with the glamping community.

  • Continuing Education Opportunities: Researching and recommending additional educational opportunities to help professionals further develop their skills and expertise.

  • Collaboration with Industry Partners: Collaborating with other organizations, associations, and industry partners to leverage resources and expertise, and to offer joint professional development opportunities.

  • Workshop and Seminar Coordination: Advising and facilitating workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics relevant to glamping professionals, such as hospitality management, sustainability practices, customer service, etc.

  • Feedback Collection: Soliciting feedback from members to evaluate the effectiveness of professional development initiatives and identify areas for improvement or additional focus.

  • Mentorship Programs: Developing mentorship programs that pair experienced professionals with those new to the industry, providing guidance, support, and valuable insights to help them advance in their careers.

  • Promotion and Outreach: Promoting professional development opportunities through various channels, such as social media, newsletters, and industry publications, to ensure maximum participation and engagement from the glamping community.

Standards Committee

Our Standards Committee is dedicated to establishing and upholding the benchmarks that define excellence in the glamping industry. From safety regulations to environmental sustainability, this committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of glamping by setting industry-wide standards that prioritize both customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility.
