AGA Advisor Spotlight: Dyana Kelley

This week’s AGA advisor spotlight is on Dyana Kelly, president and CEO of the California Outdoor Hospitality Association and valued member and advisor to the American Glamping Association!

Dyana has dedicated her life to improving the outdoor hospitality industry experiencing all that the outdoors has to offer. An avid outdoor enthusiast from birth, Dyana took her first RV trip as a newborn baby. At only a week-old mom and dad, packed her into a banana box and took her on a trip to Crowley Lake, Ca for the opening week of trout fishing season.

She grew up in the outdoors of the Eastern Sierra and spent many a summer in a hand-built log cabin on Upsata Lake in Montana. This truly set the stage for a lifetime of passion in the outdoor recreation industry. Dyana has traveled by RV to the 48 contiguous states (Alaska is still on the bucket list), visited 26 national parks, and hiked many of California’s most beautiful trails, including portions of the John Muir and Pacific Crest Trail. She holds an associate degree in Recreation Management; Parks and Leisure, is a Certified California Naturalist, and maintains a Wilderness First Aid certification.

Professionally, she has worked as an outdoor recreation guide for REI, started and run multiple businesses in the fitness industry, has a seat on the board of CalTravel and serves on the Government Relations Committee.

Today, Dyana is CEO and President of the California Outdoor Hospitality Association, the professional trade association for owners and operators of RV Parks and campgrounds in the Western United States. Uniting owners and operators of the western states through membership, education, and networking events secures future success of the individual and industry alike. COHA serves nearly 300 members across multiple states and works with over 50 supplier partners from around the nation. The association encourages high operational standards and promotes exceptional customer experiences throughout its constituency.

We’re grateful to have Dyana on our Advisory Board, and excited for what she will accomplish as she continues to work to improve the US glamping industry as a whole!
